Store Crew/Cashier

A store crew/cashier's job involves processing customer transactions, handling payments accurately with cash and other methods, and providing exceptional customer service, including answering questions and helping locate items. This role also includes duties such as maintaining a clean and organized store by stocking shelves, creating displays, and performing general housekeeping. Additionally, cashiers manage cash handling procedures, such as balancing the cash drawer and processing returns, and often work as part of a team to meet store goals. Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions about products and policies, and provide assistance with locating items or making product selections.
• Transaction Processing: Operate cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems to scan items, calculate costs, and process various payment methods.
• Cash Handling: Receive and count cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, provide accurate change, and ensure cash drawers are balanced at the end of each shift.
• Returns and Exchanges: Process customer returns and exchanges according to store policies.
• Inventory and Merchandising: Assist with stocking shelves, organizing products, and maintaining displays to ensure items are accessible and appealing.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area and other parts of the store clean, tidy, and well-organized.
• Loss Prevention: Monitor customers to help prevent theft and fraud.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other store employees to meet sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience.
