Contract: 6 months (with potential extension based on project requirements)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Avaloq Engineer / Developer to join our IT team and support the development, customization, and maintenance of our client who has the Avaloq banking platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Avaloq core banking modules, integration, and scripting, and will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations, system enhancements, and digital banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Avaloq core banking modules, including deposits, loans, payments, and wealth management systems.
  • Develop and maintain Avaloq scripts for workflow automation, reports, and system customization.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Integrate Avaloq with external systems, such as payment gateways, CRM platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Participate in system migrations, upgrades, and releases, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for Avaloq applications.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and internal IT standards.
  • Document technical solutions, workflows, and customizations for future reference and audits.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Avaloq development or banking core system development.
  • Strong proficiency in Avaloq Script (proprietary scripting language) and Avaloq module customization.
  • Experience in core banking operations: deposits, loans, payments, accounting, or wealth management.
  • Knowledge of integration technologies (APIs, web services, middleware, ETL).
  • Strong SQL skills and database knowledge (Oracle, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure) of Avaloq.
  • Knowledge of DevOps / CI-CD practices for Avaloq.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, reporting tools, or business intelligence dashboards.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking sector.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
