We're looking for an
SEO Content Editor
to help us refine and enhance
blog content
, ensuring it meets our high standards for quality, accuracy, and client alignment. If you're a detail-oriented language lover with an understanding of SEO and AP style, you'll thrive in this fast-paced role.

Responsibilities

• Content Enhancement: Edit AI-generated blog posts for clarity, coherence, tone, and factual accuracy.
• SEO Integration: Strategically add relevant reference links and anchor text to improve SEO performance and user experience.
• Client Alignment: Ensure all client-specific discussions, branding, and messaging are appropriately and consistently represented.
• Visual Integration: Select and insert appropriate images, including occasionally writing effective alt text.
• Proofreading: Conduct thorough proofreading to eliminate any grammatical errors, typos, and punctuation mistakes.
• Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of content quality, adhering to project guidelines and client expectations.
• Efficiency: Consistently edit 3-4 articles per hour while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Requirements

• Proven Editorial Background: Extensive experience in editing and proofreading various types of content, preferably blogs or articles.
• AP Style Proficiency: Strong understanding and application of Associated Press (AP) style guidelines is ideal.
• SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with basic SEO principles, including keyword integration, linking strategies, and on-page optimization.
• Exceptional Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual accuracy.
• Strong Language Skills: A genuine passion for language and a natural wordsmithing ability.
• Software Proficiency: Must be proficient with Grammarly.
• Efficiency & Productivity: Ability to work quickly and effectively
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Availability: Ability to work 40 hours per week, preferably aligning with EST (Eastern Standard Time) for easier collaboration.

Salary & Benefits
$8 per hour / depending on your location and skills/experience
