  • WAREHOUSE PICKER

Primary responsibilities

  • Order fulfillment: Use digital or written requests to locate and pick specific items from warehouse shelves.
  • Accuracy: Ensure correct items, sizes, colors, and quantities are picked for each order.
  • Quality control: Inspect items for any damage or defects before they are packaged.
  • Packaging: Pack and label items securely for shipment, and prepare shipping documents.
  • Inventory management: Update inventory records as items are picked or restocked.
  • Warehouse operations: Sort, move, and organize products within the warehouse.
  • Equipment operation: Use equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, or automated systems as needed.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Physical fitness: The job involves a significant amount of manual labor, including lifting and moving items.
  • Attention to detail: Crucial for ensuring order accuracy and preventing errors.
  • Organizational skills: Necessary for efficient movement and for maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Ability to work efficiently: Must be able to work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer/technology skills: Proficiency with scanners and warehouse management systems is often required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent: Often preferred, though many entry-level positions provide on-the-job training.
