JOB SUMMARY

The SOC Analyst is responsible for overseeing cybersecurity by monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security incidents within an organization. This role is essential in safeguarding IT infrastructure, data, and users from cyber threats by utilizing security tools and protocols to maintain a strong security posture.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Conduct risk assessment, assess potential risks and vulnerabilities to the organization's information system and assets.

  • Perform routine security assessments to identity and evaluate risks associate with system and network configurations, applications and external connections.

  • Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes and improve security response protocols.

  • Coordinate and participate in cybersecurity audits.

  • Communicates alerts to clients regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications, operating system and other cybersecurity matters.

  • Manage and help security resources, project engagements, and service delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years experience specifically in incident responses, risk management and security operations.

  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.

  • Background in security investigations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and lead incident investigations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
