Job Descriptions

  • Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood and urine specimen.
  • Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures.
  • Prepares blood by conducting blood group and type.
  • Ensures operation of laboratory machines and other laboratory equipment.
  • Maintains laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
  • Conserves laboratory resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Provides medical technology information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepares reports of technological findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Attend monthly meeting of the laboratory unit.
  • Complies with state and professional continuing education licensure requirements and DOH - Licensing.
  • Obey the laboratory schedule duly signed by the Chief Medical Technologist and Pathologist.
  • Maintains the punctuality and avoid tardiness while on duty.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology.
  • Licensed Medical Technologist (with PRC license).
  • Minimum of 3 years of Medical Technologist experience.
  • Knowledgeable in different laboratory areas (Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Banking, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
