Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced User Experience Researcher / UX Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a proven background in UX research and design, capable of translating complex user needs into actionable insights and effective digital experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to accessibility and user-centered design

Key Responsibilities

● Design & Conduct Research: Lead and execute end-to-end research initiatives, including usability testing, in-depth interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis.

● Synthesize & Report Findings: Transform research data into actionable insights and recommendations to support product development, strategic business cases, and direction for product and content teams.

● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product designers, content specialists, product managers, and leadership to align research insights with design and business goals.

● Accessibility Initiatives: Lead efforts in assessing and improving accessibility practices, collaborating on training initiatives and evaluating products and processes to enhance user inclusivity.

● UX Design Support: Contribute to design workflows by creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes. Validate design concepts through user testing and accessibility assessments.

● Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community members, health professionals, and industry partners.

● Knowledge Translation: Design and produce multimedia content to make complex research findings accessible and impactful for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

● Experience: 5 years in UX research or UX design, ideally within digital media or healthcare settings.

● Technical Skills: Proficiency with UX design and research tools, such as Figma, for prototyping, survey design platforms, and data analysis tools.

● Research Methodologies: Strong knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including 1:1 interviews, card sorting, contextual inquiries, and usability testing.

● Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead research projects, manage timelines, and work independently and collaboratively.

● Communication: Excellent storytelling skills with a strong ability to visualize and present findings to stakeholders through data visualization and structured reporting.

● Education: Diploma or certificate in User Experience Design or related field; Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Web Development, or related disciplines is an asset.

● Interpersonal Skills: Adept at building collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

● Additional Assets: Knowledge of accessibility standards and experience working with community engagement and multimedia content production.
