About the Role

Work on core front-end features for a large-scale booking system currently built with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. The Platform is currently built with the Ember framework. Ember experience is desired but if not available strong React experience would be an acceptable alternative. Candidates must be willing to learn Ember. We're looking for engineers strong in JavaScript fundamentals who are also open to learning and applying modern frameworks like Ember and/or React. Full-time, WFH in the Philippines; mid-shift/US-overlap; 13th-month, HMO (employee), WFH equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance booking-related flows such as search, cart, checkout, and payment screens using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and back-end teams to deliver seamless and reliable booking experiences.
  • Support the migration path to React, learning and applying modern React patterns over time.
  • Ensure performance, accessibility, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility across booking flows.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD workflows to maintain quality.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years building production web apps with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS.
  • 3+ years building single page web applications, preferably within either Ember or React.
  • Strong front-end fundamentals and experience working on transactional or high-traffic web applications.
  • Familiarity with testing (unit/integration/E2E) and Git workflows.
  • Understanding of performance tuning and accessibility best practices.
  • If not already familiar, willing to learn and use Ember
  • BS in CS/IT or related field (minimum).

Nice-to-Have Extras

  • Experience with checkout/payment workflows or complex form validations.
  • Familiarity with design systems and shared component libraries.
  • Exposure to responsive frameworks (Sass, Bootstrap, etc.).
