Hemodialysis Technician

Functions:

• Assist the medical and nursing staff in patient's care
• Assist nursing staff to accomplish errands relating to patients' care
• Monitor and maintain the quality of water used in Hemodialysis treatment
• Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of the machine to avoid contamination and prevent infection among patients and staff
• Provide a clean and safe bicarbonate solution to Hemodialysis patients
• Maintain the quality of the HD machine by following Standard Operational Procedures and safety requirements of each HD machines
• Ensure no contaminants are patient in the water system
• Monitor the Re-use procedure. Ensure that the dialyzers have adequate information such as name of the patient, date of the first use, type and size of the dialyzer
• Report any damage and/or technical problem that may happen to the machine and RO system to the service provider
• Update stocks inventory of acid, bicarbonate, blood lines, dialyzer, chemical and other floor stocks
• Observe proper procedure of reprocessing of the dialyzer
• Check residual Renalin using the Peracetic test strip. Check for any discoloration of the strips for the initiation of the treatment
• Transport the patients and corpses

Experience:

• Hemodialysis Technican: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:
