Solutions Architect (SAP/Azure)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Solutions Architect with expertise in both Microsoft Azure and SAP ecosystems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing end-to-end enterprise solutions that integrate SAP landscapes with Azure cloud services. This role will require deep technical knowledge, architectural leadership, and strategic thinking to support digital transformation and cloud migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of hybrid and cloud-native SAP solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance solution designs.

• Define architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for SAP on Azure (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BTP).

• Evaluate and recommend Azure services for SAP workloads (VMs, Azure NetApp Files, Azure Backup, etc.).

• Work with cross-functional teams including SAP Basis, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security.

• Design and support migration of on-premise SAP workloads to Azure cloud.

• Define strategies for backup, disaster recovery, and high availability for SAP on Azure.

• Support integration with non-SAP applications using Azure services (e.g., Logic Apps, API Management, Event Grid).

• Provide technical leadership in RFP responses, pre-sales activities, and PoC initiatives.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and cloud trends in Azure and SAP.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10 years of IT experience with a minimum of 5 years in SAP architecture roles.

• Hands-on experience in architecting and migrating SAP ECC / S/4HANA systems to Azure.

• Strong knowledge of SAP Basis, HANA, and NetWeaver platforms.

• Expertise in Microsoft Azure services, particularly IaaS, networking, storage, and security components relevant to SAP.

• Knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP Fiori architecture is a plus.

• Proficiency in SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, or SD is an added advantage.

• Experience in DevOps or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates is desirable.

• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA or S/4HANA

• TOGAF / ITIL (preferred)
