Educational Qualifications



Relevant Experience



Graduate of BS Mathematics, BS Accountancy, BS Statistics, or other related coursesPassed at least one (1) SOA Preliminary Exam is a plus

Preferably with at least two (2) years' experience in a life insurance company or similar experience

Valuation of Liabilities

Prepares the valuation of liabilities and calculation of other items for input to the financial statement. Ensures that the liabilities that have been set-up cover all future obligations to the policyholders and are calculated with a method and assumptions that are compliant with the applicable financial reporting standard (e.g., PFRS, AIFRS).

Reporting items for input to the financial statements

Dependency on the data from other departments (e.g., IT, Financial Control and Accounting, Alternative Channels) that could affect the quality and timeliness of the report.

Strategic Planning

Works extensively on forecasting to help management in setting the company's various KPI targets.  The work includes coordination with different departments and distribution channels for their input as well as working with regional teams to finalize results.

Dependency on inputs from various departments that's is critical to the resulting quality and timeliness of the Strategic Planning results.Ensuring that there are no significant gaps in the model that could affect the projections and that the assumptions are consistent with the latest approved assumptions.

Regulatory Reporting

Prepares the Quarterly Statistical Report and the relevant exhibits of the Annual Statement.Prepares the relevant figures of the Notes to the Financial StatementCoordinates with local auditors and answers queries to comply with local requirements.

Maintenance of the Prophet Model

Performs UAT of the Prophet model to ensure that the model reflects the latest approved recommendations and that there are no significant gaps in the model that could significantly impact value assessment and projections.

Accurate cash flow models

Difficulty to test a wide array of products, especially those old products with no sufficient documentation.Dependency on the assumptions review document, which is being handled by a separate unit.

Established in 1999, AXA Philippines is one of the largest and fastest growing life insurance companies in the country. It offers financial security to more than one million individuals through its group and individual life insurance as well as general insurance products through its subsidiary Charter Ping An.

AXA Philippines is one of the first to introduce bancassurance operations in the country, and is among the pioneers in the investment-linked insurance sector.

AXA now offers a complete range of products for all its customers' insurance and financial protection needs, including savings and investments, health plans, income protection, and health coverage; and through its general insurance subsidiary Charter Ping An Insurance Corporation\: fire, motor car, marine cargo, personal accident, bonds, casualty, and engineering insurance products.

AXA Philippines closed 2017 with P26.4 billion in total premium income and P5.7 billion in gross written premiums from Charter Ping An. Today, AXA has more than 4,000 financial advisers in 36 branches, and 700 financial executives in over 900 Metrobank and PSBank branches nationwide. Charter Ping An, on the other hand, has 22 branches nationwide and 2,007 agents.
