The School Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout school facilities. This includes ensuring that all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently in compliance with local and national electrical codes. The electrician supports a safe and conducive learning environment by addressing electrical issues promptly and preventing potential hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance & Repair:

  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in lighting, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other systems.
  • Replace or install new electrical systems or equipment as needed.

Installation:

  • Install wiring, conduit, outlets, lighting, fans, and other fixtures according to job specifications and safety codes.
  • Set up electrical systems for new buildings, renovations, or technology upgrades.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure all work complies with national electrical code (NEC), local building regulations, and school policies.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

Preventive Maintenance:

  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance to reduce risk of breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment.
  • Recommend upgrades or replacements for aging electrical systems.

Emergency Response:

  • Respond to electrical emergencies during school hours or on-call as required.
  • Troubleshoot power outages, electrical malfunctions, or other urgent issues.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Coordinate with other maintenance staff, contractors, and school administration.
  • Provide input on facility planning, energy efficiency improvements, and budgeting for electrical needs.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or ALS Certificate
  • Completion of a vocational training program or apprenticeship in electrical work.

Certification:

  • valid NC II in Electrical Installation and Maintenance

SCHEDULE:

MONDAY to SATURDAY (7AM-4PM/8AM-5PM/9AM-6PM)

LOCATION:

McArthur Hwy, Angeles City, Pampanga

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
