Food & Beverage Manager

Responsible for directing and overseeing all food and beverage operations of the hotel, including restaurants, bars, room service, and banquet functions. The role ensures high-quality guest service, compliance with health and safety standards, profitability of outlets, and smooth coordination with kitchen and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service

  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service in all F&B outlets.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests with professionalism.
  • Maintain strong presence during service hours to oversee guest satisfaction.

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of restaurants, bars, banquets, and in-room dining.
  • Monitor service standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, food costing, and special events.

Financial Management

  • Develop and monitor budgets for the F&B department.
  • Control operating costs, minimize wastage, and optimize profitability.
  • Implement upselling strategies and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Review daily sales reports and analyze business performance.

Staff Management & Training

  • Recruit, train, and supervise F&B personnel.
  • Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all outlets.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of guest focus, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing for promotions, events, and special packages.
  • Work closely with Banquets for weddings, conferences, and functions.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and Front Office for guest needs and smooth operations.

Compliance & Standards

  • Enforce adherence to hotel SOPs, service standards, and brand guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local food safety, liquor licensing, and labor regulations.
  • Maintain inventory control for food, beverages, and supplies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of managerial experience in F&B (preferably in a 4-star or higher property).

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent knowledge of food & beverage operations, cost control, and service standards.

Proficiency in F&B systems (POS, inventory management).

Ability to work under pressure, flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
