1. Design & Drafting
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for aluminum and glass systems (windows, doors, curtain walls, partitions, cladding, balustrades, skylights, canopies, etc.).
  • Develop 3D models and system details using CAD and BIM tools.
  • Ensure all designs meet project specifications, technical standards, and structural requirements.
2. Technical Coordination
  • Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify conflicts or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients to clarify design requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior designers and draftsmen.
3. Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN, or local building codes).
  • Verify material specifications, aluminum profiles, hardware systems, and glazing requirements.
  • Conduct design revisions based on engineering calculations, testing results, or site conditions.
4. Project Support
  • Support production and installation teams with clear drawings and technical instructions.
  • Participate in site visits when needed to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist in value engineering and system optimization to improve cost efficiency.
5. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate design files, revision logs, and documentation for each project.
  • Prepare technical submittals, sample approvals, and method statements when required.
