We are currently seeking a highly experienced Medical Biller to join our team. Position is remote & we are looking for candidates based in the Philippines who have strong English communication skills and extensive experience in U.S. healthcare billing.

Position Summary

The Medical Biller will be responsible for the full cycle of billing operations—handling daily billing activities, managing insurance authorizations, credentialing providers, following up on unpaid or denied claims, and generating regular financial reports. This critical role supports the financial health of our growing practice.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Claims:

  • Submit daily insurance claims for therapy services.
  • Ensure accuracy in coding and compliance with payer guidelines.
  • Process billing for private pay and insurance clients.
  • Review incoming insurance payments
  • Follow up on denied claims & submit medical records if needed for reprocessing.

Pre-Authorization & Credentialing:

  • Obtain prior authorizations for services when required.
  • Assist with provider credentialing and enrollment with insurance panels.

Denials & Follow-Up:

  • Proactively follow up on denied or unpaid claims.
  • Work directly with insurance companies to resolve issues and appeal denials.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and track outstanding balances.

Reporting:

  • Run and analyze weekly and monthly reports to track billing performance and identify unpaid claims.
  • Provide regular updates to management on billing status and trends.

Administrative Support:

  • Collaborate with clinicians and administrative staff to ensure accurate billing.
  • Work with admin staff to handle all communication with parents, clinicians & update client profiles.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in U.S. medical billing, preferably in outpatient or therapy settings.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance billing, claims submission, denial management, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Experience with EHR and billing software (e.g., SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Experience with provider credentialing and pre-authorizations is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with speech therapy or pediatric healthcare is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with communicating with patients and scheduling
