Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Design/Land Development Engineer with 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in subdivision or site development projects. The successful candidate will assist in preparing design and construction documents for residential, commercial, and industrial developments. A strong foundation in cut and fill analysis and site grading is essential. This position requires a licensed civil engineer who is willing and able to sign and seal engineering plans and packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of civil engineering plans and design documents for site grading, drainage, roadways, stormwater management, and utilities (water, sewer, electrical).

  • Perform basic engineering calculations, including cut and fill analysis, hydrology, and utility sizing.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop layouts and designs that meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute to feasibility studies, site evaluations, and due diligence efforts for potential development projects.

  • Review survey data, topographic maps, and geotechnical reports to support design decisions.

  • Prepare and submit engineering documents required for permitting and regulatory approvals.

  • Provide support during construction by answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, and participating in site inspections.

  • Participate in design team meetings and client discussions to gain insight into project coordination and delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, zoning laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

  • Be responsible for signing and sealing engineering packages under professional license.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Civil Engineer.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with exposure to land or site development projects. Experience with subdivision projects is a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Knowledge of site grading principles, especially cut & fill balancing.

  • Understanding of stormwater management, drainage design, and utility layout.

  • Familiarity with permitting processes and local regulatory requirements.
