Role Description

The Vessel IT Professional is part of a dedicated support group focused on vessel-related IT operations. This role is responsible for managing onboard network infrastructure, maintaining cybersecurity standards, and ensuring the reliability of IT systems across vessels. As the Level 2 escalation point for vessel IT cases, the professional handles advanced troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues, working closely with both onboard personnel and shore-based teams to maintain seamless IT service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Network Administration and Network Security
  • Strong background in Information Technology and Troubleshooting
  • Experience in providing Customer Service related to IT support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment
  • Familiarity with maritime industry standards is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
