Retail Store Manager - Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, train and assist employees like Sales Representatives and Retail Store Clerks in customer service, store maintenance and product promotions.
- Develop and maintain a schedule for employees and promotions centered on holiday sales and other cycles.
- Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line and service within the store.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.
- Implement cross-training of employees and Assistant Managers to maintain productivity at all times.
- Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.
- Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times.
- Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.
Accountability : 1. Store Assets
All employees must have good performance
Stock must be kept at a safe and optimal level
Ensure all payment and all sales are deposited
Ensure a good market share/customer relations
Net profit of store, so always be concerned with wastages and
other expenses that can be reduced
STORE PROFITABILITY
Maintain sales growth
Reduce waste and unnecessary expenses
Maintain optimum amount of people
Prevent over stock and out of stocks
Maintain good supplier relationship (monitor P.O. and B.O.)
Quickly resolve any problems that may lead to stock out held deliveries
Ensure all assets are kept well and accounted for to prevent unnecessary disposal and breakages
Ensure good customer relations maintains all customers while attracting more customers
Ensure proper displays of merchandise to prevent B.O. and pilferage
Identify other possible source of income inside and outside the store
Ensure all sales are deposited the following day
People Handling
Always be willing to train more leaders
Ensure that everyone in the store is doing their job property
Always maintain a high moral in the work place
Always be fair and be the champion of our company policies
Identify inefficient workers to be replaced or transferred depending on potential
Identify People to be given special recognition and people with potential
Provide good allocation of work and identify people who can handle more or handle less to be evaluated on proper placement.
Teach, teach as Manager and leader it is your task to make your people to learn the best attitude, skills and knowledge at work and outside of work.
STORE OFFICER CHECK LIST
DAILY
Check attendance of all Heads
Check all communication log book
Do a walk walkthrough of the store (with sales the manager and admin if possible)upon arrival and before leaving
Check sales report of previous day
Check Stock for Delivery update
Check over stocks, critical stocks and out of stocks
Check Accounting Department for unpaid suppliers and problems regarding them to have it resolved immediately
Check operational systems for possible improvement
Check Frontline for customer suggestions and complaint to help resolve problems in Frontline Head cannot handle it or is not present.
Get updates from all Managers daily, to be up to date on current store events and be able to make well informed decisions
Assign special task to people who do you think have potentials to improve
Get update of sales deposit from Accounting
Weekly Task
Generate and analyze weekly sales report and expenses
Check manager, supervisors, TLs and Rank and file Schedules to ensure optimum people distribution
Check and consolidate all weekly report to be submitted by managers
Check price monitoring report and possible new items that can be carried by the store
Review the collection report of store to ensure all payables are paid to suppliers and know problems with those that were not paid
Monthly Tasks
Run and Analyze sales reports
Run and analyze Top 200 SKUs by the Volume and Peso Value
Run and Analyze top 100 customers
Do scheduled evaluations if applicable
Head the Monthly Operation Report
Conceptualize possible promotions that can be beneficial for the store
Check all store expenses from utilities
Check manpower count
Review all projects and activities or the previous month to be able to give feedback to heads
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
