About the role

We are seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to join our dynamic team at Gaisano Bros. Merchandising, Inc. in Cebu City, Cebu. As the Merchandising Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of effective merchandising strategies that drive sales and enhance the customer experience across our retail stores.

What you'll be doing

  1. Source, evaluate and approve new suppliers according to supplier accreditation guidelines.
  2. Forecast merchandising trends and plan to meet projected demand and support sales in collaboration with the Category Managers
  3. Collaborate with the buying and marketing teams to ensure seamless coordination of promotional activities and seasonal product launches
  4. Develop and implement strategies for sourcing products, including vendor selection, pricing and procurement processes in coordination with the Category Managers
  5. Review and analysis of merchandising reports such as spend analysis report, vendor performance analysis, market analysis and cost savings analysis that will help the company to make data driven decisions and optimize procurement processes.
  6. Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in merchandising

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a merchandising or retail management role, preferably in the consumer products industry
  2. Both merchandising and retail management experience required to meet the comprehensive demands of this position
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and consumer insights to inform merchandising strategies
  4. Proficiency in professional analytics software required to effectively analyse sales data and generate strategic insights
  5. Excellent visual merchandising and display design skills, with a keen eye for aesthetics and product presentation
  6. Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving inventory management through effective merchandising
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  8. Adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate changing market conditions and customer preferences
  9. Bachelor's degree required for this Merchandising Manager position
