About the Role

We're looking for an experienced MongoDB Administrator to join our growing technology team. You'll be the go-to expert responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of MongoDB databases — ensuring data integrity, reliability, and availability across mission-critical applications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and upgrade MongoDB databases.
  • Monitor and tune database performance.
  • Implement and test backup and recovery strategies.
  • Ensure database security and manage access controls.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues; optimize queries.
  • Automate recurring maintenance and administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrate advanced programming skills for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams on database design.
  • Apply experience with various database types including NoSQL and SQL platforms.
  • Plan and execute database migrations and updates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of database configurations and procedures.
  • Stay updated with MongoDB best practices and new features.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience as a MongoDB Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of data replication and sharding concepts.

Good-to-Have:

  • Experience with DevOps tools or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Ops Manager.
  • MongoDB Administration certification.
  • Understanding of database scaling and clustering strategies.
