Job Title: Software Engineer

Location:  BGC Taguig Metro Manila

Work Schedule: Hybrid, 2x a week RTO

Shift Schedule: Mid – 2pm to 12mn

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work as a Level 3 support, investigating and resolving tickets this can include on call support.
• Work on enhancements.
• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.  Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute to providing solutions to work related problems.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in application development.
• Analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Conduct regular reviews of project progress and implement necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance application performance.

Professional & Technical Skills :

• Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Fortran programming language.
• Additional Good to Have Skills: Experience with Open VMS, Linux, SQL.
• Strong understanding of application development life cycle and methodologies.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications.  Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting complex application issues.
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development tools.
