The Mechanical Technology professional in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry is responsible for assisting in the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems. The role ensures that all mechanical systems meet safety standards, energy efficiency requirements, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, air handling units, cooling towers, and other HVAC-related machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to ensure proper functionality of HVAC systems.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Support engineers in preparing technical reports, service records, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians for system upgrades or modifications.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Assist in the calibration and adjustment of mechanical controls and automation systems.
  • Provide technical support during on-site inspections and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related course.
  • Preferably with experience in HVAC systems installation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and capable of working on-site or in field conditions.
  • Willing to work flexible hours depending on project requirements.

Skills Required:

  • Technical knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, or related software is a plus).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
