Job Summary:

The Finance & Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The role supports the organization in budgeting, cash flow monitoring, auditing, and safeguarding company assets through proper financial control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Maintain and update general ledger, financial statements, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/year-end financial reports and schedules
  • Monitor cash flow, fund availability, and bank reconciliation
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis

Accounting Operations

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Monitor billing, collections, and payment schedules
  • Maintain accurate journal entries, expense records, and accounting files
  • Manage disbursements, reimbursements, and liquidation of expenses

Tax Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of government remittances (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and reports
  • Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and government offices
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory policies

Internal Controls & Audit

  • Implement and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets
  • Conduct periodic audits and financial reviews to ensure transparency
  • Recommend improvements to financial processes and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
  • Preferably with 1–3 years experience in Finance/Accounting
  • Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and MS Excel
  • Strong knowledge of taxation, financial reporting, and government compliance
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
