Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
  • Must be amenable to work on Night shift
  • Must be amenable to work in Makati City
  • Must be amenable to work in a hybrid setup (2x a week onsite)
  • At least 5 years' strong hands-on experience in Java EE design and development
  • Proficiency in REST API and Spring Boot design and development
  • Experience with end-to-end (E2E) test automation
  • Knowledge of API security risks and microservices resilience
  • Familiarity with Apigee, Istio, Kafka, AWS, and GCP (preferred)
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and RDBMS such as PostgreSQL
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases like Cassandra
  • Expertise with Git, Jira, Jenkins, and test automation tools
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Adept at applying DevOps principles across the software lifecycle Agile Practices
  • Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Adept at managing the Agile software development lifecycle
  • Experience in financial application development (preferred)
  • JUnit and API Testing
  • Strong debug skills
  • Deployment using CICD pipelines
  • Has excellent communication skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
  • Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
  • Consistently create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; consider scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs
  • Perform analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements
  • Make sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront
  • Take feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards
  • Conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
  • Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
  • Exhibit relentless focus on software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards
  • Embrace emerging technology opportunities and contribute to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Review tasks critically and ensure they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; anticipate and communicate blockers and delays before they require escalation
