Roles and Responsibilities

Bookkeeping duties:

  • Daily bookkeeping tasks (data entry, bank reconciliations, payroll, supplier payments)
  • Preparation of BAS/IAS files
  • Preparation of client management report packs
  • Preparation of operating budgets
  • Ad hoc projects as required

Administration duties:

  • Support team in meeting key financial and non-financial targets
  • Maintain task list
  • Attend workflow meetings
  • Assist with billings
  • Filing, photocopying, recycling
  • Telephone reception support
  • Prepare daily timesheets
  • Ad hoc administrative duties

Previous Experience
  • Ideally 1+ year in public practice accounting firm
  • Advanced user of Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite (Excel in particular)
  • Strong data entry
  • Accounts payables/receivables experience
  • Works autonomously, meets expectations
  • Communicates effectively across industries
  • Builds and maintains client relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
Education
  • Relevant prior experience or certification in the field
