POSITION SUMMARY:
PLC Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and automation equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs. Ensures plant safety, supports continuous improvement, and minimizes downtime through effective diagnostics and repairs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs and HMI systems
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment (PLCs, motors, wiring, VFDs, actuators, etc.)
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment repairs to reduce downtime
- Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings for electrical systems
- Document work and equipment issues accurately in SAP
- Ensure compliance with GMP and plant safety standards
- Support project planning and train team members as needed
