Job Overview: Automotive Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Mechanic to join our technical team. This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various vehicle systems and inspection equipment. The ideal candidate is experienced in troubleshooting automotive issues and providing technical support, but fresh graduates with relevant skills and certifications are also encouraged to apply.

As an Automotive Mechanic, you will perform routine maintenance, preventive services, and repairs to ensure optimal performance of vehicles and equipment. You will also support field operations and collaborate with other technical teams to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Certification from TESDA or equivalent (e.g., NC I, NC II) is an advantage
  • Certification in Automotive Technology, Machine Maintenance, or a related field

What We're Looking For

  • At least 1–3 years of experience in machine troubleshooting, technical support, or maintenance (fresh graduates are welcome)
  • Experience in automotive repair and maintenance
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance and calibration procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, etc.)
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and interpreting results
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills
  • Good communication and customer service abilities
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, overtime, or travel as needed
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team

Duties to Be Performed

  • Diagnose and resolve problems in equipment, machinery, and vehicle systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and perform routine maintenance (PMS)
  • Perform calibration and testing of machines to meet operational standards
  • Collaborate with customers or field technicians to resolve technical issues
  • Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate service records, logs, and technical documentation
  • Assist technicians and end-users with technical inquiries and troubleshooting
  • Provide training or guidance on proper machine operation and maintenance
  • Prepare technical reports and troubleshooting guides for reference
  • Support other departments when technical expertise is required
  • Work closely with team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely

Note: Duties are not limited to the above and may include other related tasks as assigned by management, depending on operational needs.
