- Provides engineering support to Manufacturing and/or Assembly Lines.
- Works on complex problems and recommends actions based on engineering principles and methodology.
- Develops and improves Manufacturing, Assembly, and Engineering Processes and Procedures.
- Utilizes data gathering and analysis methods in problem solving and process improvement.
- Updates and maintains essential manufacturing data such as BOMS, programs, and references.
- Supports Manufacturing activities such as FAI, NPI, and PFMEA.
- Exercises judgment within defined practices and standards in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria.
- Creates manufacturing process documentation such as Work Instructions, Standard Work, and Process Flow.
- Supports team and company in ensuring that metrics and KPIs are met.
- Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Ability to solve problems and implement solutions through structured, data-driven methodology.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Above average to excellent Computer skills.
- Knowledge in reading and interpreting 2D blueprints with understanding of dimensioning and tolerances.
- Able to perform quality work and exercise independent discretion with minimum supervision.
- Able to complete projects and tasks while working individually or part of a cross functional team.
- 1-2 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Experience in Team Center or other PLM software applications is an advantage.
- Understanding of problem-solving tools (RRCA, DMAIC, 8D) and GD&T is an advantage
- Experience with Plastics Thermoforming equipment, processes, and materials is an advantage.
- Experience with Mechanical Assembly and Bonding tools, equipment, process, and materials is an advantage.
