JOB SUMMARY:

The BIM Modeler/ Engineer II uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) Software to perform basic to advance drawing and modeling work tasks in compliance with the company guidelines. Reports to the BIM Team Leader and perform assigned tasks. Must have the ability to suggest solutions within the scope of the tasks assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of 4-year Technical degree course, preferably Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the same capacity.
  • Must be able to create Mechanical, Structural and Architectural drawings using REVIT.
  • Knowledge of other BIM Concepts and Software (Lumion, Enscape, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Solibri, BIM360) is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable and experience in creating and checking Mechanical, Architectural, Structural and Construction drawings is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Japanese design, construction and drawings is an advantage.
  • Providing Portfolio (drawings and perspective) of past works is an advantage.
  • Above average Communication Skills (oral & written)
  • Willing to travel to Japan and perform assigned duties as necessary.
  • Willing to study Japanese Language.
  • Willing to work overtime and on weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • A good team player, able to express himself well and communicate with others; can foster good working relationship with colleagues.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Building Information Modeling
  • Create Mechanical, Architectural and Structural Revit models and drawings as well as Construction drawings.
  • Create and improve Revit families and templates.
  • Create detailed model to be used in the design and construction phase of projects.
  • Execute clash check between Architectural, Structural and Mechanical models.
  • Acquire quantities of materials and other required information from the design model.
  • Create dynamo code to reduce work time, use dynamo in drawing and model creation.
  • Collaborate with other BIM team to create mechanical, architectural, structural and construction models.
  • Any other items to be developed through BIM.
  • Create models in compliance with Japanese Building Code and JFE Civil design requirements.
  • Learn Japanese Language to communicate with our Japanese counterparts.
  • Actively participate in developing the use of BIM software in the company.
