Korean Translator

Key Responsibilities

Translation & Interpretation

• Provide accurate Korean–English and English–Korean translation during meetings, site inspections, technical discussions, and email correspondence.
• Translate technical documents such as elevator specifications, drawings, manuals, schedules, and reports.
• Interpret live during coordination meetings between Korean manufacturers and Filipino engineering teams.

Project Management (Elevator Projects)

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring elevator installation activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, Korean engineers, and clients to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly status reports.
• Support project documentation: shop drawings, site instructions, material requests, punch lists, testing and commissioning records.
• Participate in site walks, inspections, and acceptance procedures.

Technical Support & Coordination

• Communicate technical requirements from Korean engineers to local installers.
• Ensure that elevator specifications, safety standards, and installation guidelines are followed.
• Assist in troubleshooting installation or system issues by coordinating between Korean technical support and on-site teams.

Administrative & Communication Support

• Manage schedules, meeting notes, and project files.
• Draft and translate official letters, email communications, and reports.
• Support the project team in preparing presentations and client submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field (preferred but not required).
• Fluent in Korean and English, both spoken and written; TOPIK certification is an advantage.
• Experience in elevator projects (installation, maintenance, supplier coordination, or construction environment) is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with elevator components (machines/traction, control panel, door systems, rails, safety devices).
• Experience in project coordination or project management (1–3 years preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Working Conditions
