About the role

We are seeking a WordPress Developer to join our talented team at NORTH TREND MARKETING CORPORATION'. As a WordPress Developer, will be responsible for building and maintaining custom plugins and themes, extending WooCommerce functionalities, and collaborating with the Marketing and QA Teams to deliver high-quality, responsive, and secure websites. This is a full-time, onsite role based in our Mabolo office in Cebu City, Cebu.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
  • Customize and extend WooCommerce features, including checkout flows, product logic, and payment gateways
  • Integrate external APIs into WordPress and WooCommerce (e.g., logistics, payments, inventory, CRM, etc.)
  • Work with the Marketing Team to implement site changes related to campaigns and promotions
  • Coordinate with the QA Team to test and validate new features and integrations
  • Optimize website speed, SEO, and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Use Git for version control and collaborate using modern development workflows

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in WordPress and WooCommerce development
  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery
  • Strong understanding of WordPress hooks, filters, custom post types, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
  • Strong understanding of WordPress best practices, security and optimisation techniques
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and project management tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience in integrating with external APIs using REST (e.g., third-party logistics, payment providers, or CRM systems)
