Role description:

This role is part of Arcadis' Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis' offices globally.  The GEC brings key capabilities and capacity to support our clients seamlessly around the world.  For those in GEC there are options to be dedicated to one country; developing deep knowledge and strong relationships, as well as opportunities to be part of teams working truly globally as a centre of excellence, offering diversity and variety.  Arcadians are by nature, globally minded and culturally aware, and Arcadis strongly believes in flexibility which enables change over time as your career progresses. Roles at this level will lead the delivery of cost management in commercial/retail/residential projects. Will be responsible for leading a team and utilising resource to deliver projects within cost, time and quality standards, and will have significant technical knowledge and experience in their field. 

Role accountabilities:

• Lead, coach and develop the skills and capabilities of team members in order to share knowledge, increase team skill level and improve the standard of service delivery
• Create project costings and budgets from clear objectives, managing finances across a project in order to ensure the profit and budgetary targets are met and best value outcomes are achieved
• Lead and manage individual cost management assignments from inception to completion, managing teams and resources to ensure delivery standards meet client expectations
• Demonstrable understanding of clients key objectives with the appropriate sector
• Monitor and review the performance and behaviour of all team members, including educating and influencing others, and take action to ensure compliance with the organisational policies and codes of conduct across the entire project
• Assure compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service
• Analyse and compile a range of complex data and documents, using knowledge to review and assess analysis and provide recommendations to contribute to project decision-making
• Use own knowledge and experience of industry best practice to support the development of current cost and commercial management systems and processes
• Work to improve services and drive innovation to increase team contribution to project delivery
• Manage relationships with customers in order to identify opportunities to improve the cost management offering and deliver customer satisfaction
• Act as a key technical resource within the field of cost/commercial management, providing technical advice and solutions to internal colleagues in order to support successful project delivery across a range of projects
• Build valued relationships with senior clients and stakeholders, in order to ensure client satisfaction, develop the cost management service and create new business opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant professional experience in a similar working environment, including delivering medium/large projects across an entire project life cycle
• Relevant cost and commercial management experience.
• Experience of managing people, and leadership skills including the ability to motivate others
• Experience in building and managing client relationships at senior-management level, including the ability to act as a trusted advisor
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
