About the role

As a Pump Tender at Polystar General Services Inc., you will play a vital role in the operation and maintenance of essential pumping systems across our construction sites in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our construction operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Operate and monitor pumps, motors, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
2. Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on pumping systems to prevent downtime and issues
3. Maintain detailed records of pump operations, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities
4. Collaborate with the construction team to identify and resolve any pumping-related issues or problems
5. Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and procedures to protect yourself and others on site
6. Assist with other general construction duties as needed

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a Pump Tender or in a similar role within the construction industry
2. Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pumping equipment
3. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams
4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues
5. Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to risk management
6. Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
