Role Overview

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will ensure the functionality, usability, and responsiveness of our digital products across different devices, screen sizes, and browsers. Collaborating closely with developers, designers, and project managers, you will identify and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless and high-quality user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Conduct functional, regression, and usability testing on websites, applications, and digital platforms.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing (desktop, mobile, tablet) to ensure optimal responsiveness.
• Identify, document, and track bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
• Ensure products meet design specifications and work seamlessly across different environments.
• Test performance, page speed, and accessibility across devices.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

• Work closely with developers and designers to address bugs and inconsistencies.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve product quality.
• Align quality assurance processes with user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimization (CRO) best practices.
• Develop and maintain QA documentation, test cases, and testing reports.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining quality.

Efficiency & Optimization:

● Suggest improvements for testing tools, techniques, and workflows to enhance the QA process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a QA Specialist, Tester, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to spot visual inconsistencies.
• Experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, mobile devices).
• Familiarity with responsive design testing tools like BrowserStack or LambdaTest.
• Attention to detail and the ability to provide clear, concise bug reports.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with designers, developers, and project managers.
• Experience with test case creation and issue tracking tools like ClickUp.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferred but not required).
• Understanding of performance testing, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ClickUp for task and workflow management.
• Familiarity with Shopify and WordPress for e-commerce and website testing.
• Knowledge of QA automation tools.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Proficiency in the following applications is a PLUS:

Pingdom / UptimeRobot

• These primarily monitor page availability and load performance.
• They're good for uptime, not for true transactional testing.

Checkly

• Checkly allows you to build custom end‑to‑end scripts (using Puppeteer/Playwright under the hood).
• You can simulate parts of the checkout, but Shopify checkout itself is tricky because: ○ Shopify checkout often requires real payment tokens.

○ Shopify's hosted checkout limits automation for security/PCI compliance.

Datadog Synthetic Monitoring

• Simulates real user journeys (a.k.a. "synthetic tests") on your site.
• Example: Automatically "pretend" to be a user by loading homepage → cart → checkout flow and measuring response times or errors.
• Detects issues like broken steps in the funnel, slow pages, or unexpected responses. Use it when: You want to proactively catch functional or performance issues before customers do.

Sentry

• Captures JavaScript errors or exceptions happening in live sessions.
• Shows stack traces, browsers affected, and frequency so devs can debug quickly.

Use it when: You need to know if users are encountering console errors, broken scripts, or other code problems in production.

Hexowatch (or Visualping)

• Monitor visual changes on your site.
• Example: If your homepage layout suddenly shifts, a banner disappears, or a CTA button breaks, these tools alert you.
• They compare screenshots over time and flag unexpected changes.

Use it when: You need to ensure critical pages (homepage, checkout, promo pages) stay visually intact after updates or deploys.

Visualping (alternative to Hexowatch)

• Also, for visual change detection on specific URLs.
• Simpler and often cheaper than Hexowatch.
• Sends alerts (email, Slack) when something on a page changes compared to its last snapshot.

Use it when: You want lightweight visual monitoring for key pages or elements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php60, Php70,000.00 per month
