Lagoon Attendant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Lagoon Attendant to join our team at Filipinas Palmoil Plantations Inc. in San Francisco Agusan del Sur. This is a contract role, offering the opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our on-site lagoon system. As a Lagoon Attendant, you will play a vital part in ensuring the effective operations of our palm oil production facility.

What you'll be doing

1. Desilting of raw water from lagoon and maintain the lagoon system to ensure optimal water quality and functionality
2. Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on lagoon equipment and infrastructure
3. Documenting and reporting on the condition of the lagoon system, including any issues or concerns
4. Coordinating with the broader operations team to address any lagoon-related problems or requirements
5. Ensuring the lagoon area is kept clean, safe and in compliance with all relevant environmental regulations
6. Assisting with other general maintenance and custodial duties as needed

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience working in a similar lagoon or wastewater treatment role, ideally within the palm oil or manufacturing industry
2. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues with lagoon equipment
3. Familiarity with water quality testing and monitoring procedures
4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to complete tasks
5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and environmental standards
6. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
