Design Architect

JOB SUMMARY

The Design Architect plays a vital role in the conceptualization, planning, and development of architectural and engineering designs. This includes preparing material specifications for various construction projects such as residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments as well as alterations or repairs to existing structures. He is responsible for planning and coordinating subdivision and vertical projects, including model houses, amenities, landscaping, and other special developments.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

1. Responsible for developing designs and design models for new construction projects, including land development, amenities, and housing.
2. Prepare subdivision schemes, subdivision plans, model house and amenity concepts, along with their working drawings for construction purposes.
3. Prepare 3D perspectives for both initial and final presentations, and provide required data and complete sets of plans for building permit acquisition.
4. Ensure accuracy and compliance with local and national regulations, building codes, zoning ordinances, and other applicable construction standards.
5. Conceptualize special projects such as signage, entrance gates, pavilions, booths, landscapes, and similar structures, including their working drawings.
6. Conduct random jobsite inspections of housing, land development, amenities, and other special projects to support quality control. Perform quality checks and recommend or implement necessary design modifications.
7. Coordinate with consultants on the conceptualization and preparation of working drawings for model houses, amenities, commercial buildings, bridges, and other structures, taking into account budget, design concept, and project timeline.
8. Conduct pre-evaluation of building plans submitted by clients for private construction purposes.
9. Incorporate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions into housing projects, while staying updated on architectural trends, materials, and technologies relevant to residential construction.
10. Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of BS Architecture. A licensed Architect is strongly preferred, but unlicensed graduates with exceptional portfolios may also be considered.

Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in architectural design

Competencies:

• Strong understanding of construction methods, site development, land surveying principles, building codes, local and national regulations, and construction methodologies.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and rendering software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, V-Ray/Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Exceptional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines simultaneously
• Willing to be assigned in Lucena City, Quezon
