Job Summary

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring all systems operate efficiently, coordinating with third-party vendors, and maintaining documentation of maintenance activities. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in equipment maintenance, HVAC, electrical, and facility management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance of equipment, facilities, and systems.
  • Promptly report issues, malfunctions, or necessary repairs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Encode accomplishment reports into the network file and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Assist and coordinate with third-party vendors, contractors, and other teams for maintenance activities.
  • Perform other functions assigned by superiors as needed.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of NODE/Colocation sites, supporting Field Service Management (FSM) when necessary.
  • Assist in the deployment and site support for Network Operations Center (NOC) activities.
  • Oversee maintenance of Equipment, Air Conditioning Units (ACU), Power Conditioning Units (PCU), and Node systems.
  • Provide maintenance summary reports, including End-of-Life (EOL) recommendations, replacement suggestions, and accomplishment reports.
  • Schedule and supervise the maintenance of ACU, PCU, and related equipment.
  • Supervise contractors and other teams during Node activities.
  • Assist with general building maintenance activities.
  • Initiate and oversee routine inspections of Nodes and Facilities.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
  • Process necessary permits for maintenance work.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality procedures, and company policies.
  • Monitor warranties of equipment and recommend replacements when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Vocational or High School Diploma.
  • NC II Certification in Electrical Installation & Maintenance.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance electrician in a commercial or residential setup.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in using multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must have a valid Professional Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word (MS Office), and report documentation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or emergency call-outs.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with facility maintenance, HVAC, and network infrastructure (NODE/Colocation).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and permit processing.
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
