Job Summary:
The general cashier is responsible for processing and receiving payments and issuing receipts to customers as they leave with their purchases. It also reconciles cash on a daily basis, being responsible for balancing the main float and processing petty cash according to the company's procedures.
Scope and Responsibilities:
· Received cash, check, & bank to bank payments from customers sales and other miscellaneous collections.
· Responsible for the issuance of the following supporting documents (Collection Receipts and Acknowledgement Receipt) as proof of collections form sales of Regan, Kirin, Supreme, and Regan Davao.
· Ensure accuracy pertaining to the details printed or written on the face of the collection receipt. Accurate information should include but not limited to the following:
a. Date, Customer Name and Customer address
b. Check and Bank details
c. Breakdown of currency denomination in case cash is received
d. Purchase Order or invoice reference
e. Detailed computation and specifically identify any over and under payment
f. Notation if there is an attached 2307 certificate
· Ensure to provide weekly update pertaining to advance OR's issued to customers.
· Maintain a KPI of +1 Day to issue ORs for those collections verified by the Treasury Head.
· Devise and/ or modify the maintenance of collections/ checks files and records.
· Follow policies and procedures outlined by AR Department regarding CR/AR Issuance. Use courtesy, discretion, and professionalism in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
· Participate in Departments Meeting when topics are directly to his/her cashier function.
· Performs other duties may be assigned from time to time.
Education and Training Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance.
· Previous experience working as a treasury assistant.
