JOB SUMMARY:
Manages and oversees all aspects of environmental, health, safety, and security programs within the company. Plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulations, creating a safe working environment, minimizing risks, and protecting the well-being of employees and organizational assets. Provides direction to strengthen policies and procedures, establishes best practices and safe work methods, and prepares reports and recommendations to improve environmental and safety performance. Develops and schedules training programs covering emergency procedures, workplace safety, and related concerns.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Environment, Health, and Safety
A. Environment (DENR-EMB, LLDA, Pasig City CENRO)
- Ensure timely application and renewal of relevant permits and licenses.
- Ensure submission of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
- Coordinate with the government-accredited Pollution Control Laboratory.
- Coordinate with the hazardous waste TSD (Treated, Stored, and Disposed) facility for hauling general and industrial wastes.
- Serve as liaison for hazardous waste communication and campaigns on environmental awareness.
- Coordinate with service providers during septic tank desilting activities.
- Conduct quarterly stack sampling and ambient air monitoring for the Permit-to-Operate for air pollution sources.
- Assist during inspections conducted by government agencies.
- Serve as the accredited Pollution Control Officer of the facility for both DENR-EMB and LLDA.
B. Health
- Coordinate with the on-site nurse regarding implementation of health protocols.
- Ensure proper supply management and preparation of DOLE-required reports.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to maintain cleanliness of high-contact surfaces, comfort rooms, handrails, and door knobs.
C. Safety
- Ensure compliance with OSH Standards Rule 1020 – Registration of the Establishment.
- Establish the Health and Safety Committee, Emergency Response Plan, and Emergency Response Team.
- Coordinate with third-party insurance providers on claims arising from accidents.
- Ensure proper submission of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual safety reports.
- Conduct mandatory eight-hour OSH seminars for all GIC-assigned employees.
- Conduct regular walk-around inspections of the facility.
- Provide EHS orientation for new hires, service providers, contractors, and visitors.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate monthly Ugnayan and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) meetings to ensure effective communication, promote collaboration, and maintain compliance with safety protocols.
II. Administration
A. Maintenance
- Prepare documentation for building improvement projects (e.g., fire exit modifications).
- Coordinate with service providers on maintenance projects (ACU cleaning, roof leak repair, repainting, replacement of bulbs, fire extinguisher inspection).
- Manage the maintenance team regarding task distribution, attendance, and other operational concerns.
B. Housekeeping
- Coordinate with utility crews to maintain cleanliness of the facility, including offices, hallways, stairs, comfort rooms, parking area, pantry, and fresco area.
- Coordinate with pest control providers to ensure the facility remains free from rodents, crawling, and flying insects.
C. Security
- Coordinate with the security team to monitor attendance of employees, service providers, contractors, and visitors.
- Coordinate on parking-related concerns, including management of issues raised by neighbors or barangay authorities.
- Conduct investigations for security-related incidents (e.g., prohibited drugs, theft).
- Coordinate with the team on items brought in and out of the facility.
- Manage the security team in terms of task distribution, attendance, and other operational concerns.
.JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education : Bachelor's or College Degree
Licensing Requirements: Preferably Licensed Engineer
Skills :With knowledge on reportorial requirements (Annual DOLE Reports: OSH Program, Annual work accident, Annual Medical Report, Safety and Health Committee Composition and Minutes of the Meetings)
Knowledgeable in facilitating annual permits and licenses (Environment Clearance Renewal, Sanitary Permits, Business Permits)
Experience : At least 3 years experience as Safety Practitioner
Competency needed: Training Requirement:
Leadership Skills -BOSH/COSH OSH CERTIFIED
Communication Skills
Computer Literate

Pay: Php60, Php70,000.00 per month
