Role (Overview of the Position)

As the Staff Tax Accountant, you are responsible for preparing tax returns for our e-commerce businesses and their owners. You are responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the tax returns.

Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)

  • Prepare complex individual and business returns.
  • Ensure tax returns are completed timely.
  • Ensure the tax process is documented and current.
  • Respond to any IRS or State inquiries or letters.
  • Assist with tax planning and research.
  • Assist with quarterly estimated tax projections.
  • Communicate with clients to request information, clarify questions, and address basic inquiries.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through prompt and professional interactions.
  • Support the Tax Manager.

Results (Expected Accomplishments)

  • Tax returns delivered on time and accurately.
  • No surprises for our clients come tax time.

Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)

  • 1-3 years of Tax preparation experience
  • Extremely confident with technology.
