Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen tools, utensils, plates, and equipment.
  • Maintain dishwashing area, including proper segregation, rinsing, washing, and drying.
  • Assist cooks by preparing basic ingredients, organizing workstations, and restocking supplies.
  • Handle waste disposal following food safety standards.
  • Keep floors, walls, and kitchen surfaces clean and hazard-free.
  • Support the back-of-house team during peak hours and perform other tasks assigned by the Chef or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience as a kitchen steward, utility staff, or similar role (restaurant or hotel preferred).
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of basic hygiene and food safety practices is an advantage.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Can work well with the kitchen team and follow instructions consistently.
  • Must have updated NBI clearance prior to employment.
