Wavemaker Impact is Southeast Asia's leading climate-tech venture builder, dedicated to building 100X100 ventures to decarbonize global emissions at scale. Based in Singapore and operating across 9 countries in the region, we have raised USD 60 million in our first fund and built and launched 20 ventures so far.

We are looking for a mission oriented individual with
strong offline sales and sales force management expertise
, ideally with a
background in appliances or consumer durables
to help us launch our latest venture which aims to be the
largest distributor of solar appliances in Southeast Asia.
Our first target market is the Philippines. As the first hire in this business you will work closely with the team at Wavemaker Impact to launch the business, develop customer acquisition strategies both offline and online, test customer demand for the initial suite of products, and build and lead a local team.

What you'll do:


• Develop and execute a country launch strategy to validate value propositions and customer demand for the initial suite of solar appliances


• Source and test products


• Track pilot milestones and KPIs (sales, CAC, payback, warranty tests) and synthesize learnings into actionable insights for iteration.


• Coordinate with financing partners to structure consumer-ready installment or BNPL options.


• Secure distribution partnerships including offline retail/MFI partners and online/e-commerce channels


• Oversee logistics setup (warehousing, transport, inventory management) and ensure smooth last-mile delivery in coordination with partners.


• Build and lead local teams across sales, support and operations with particular emphasis on field sales force recruitment, training, and consumer education.


• Provide regular progress updates to the board, highlighting risks, bottlenecks, and proposed mitigations.

Who you Are:


• 5+ years of experience in management, sales or business development in a start-up or tech environment with proven experience in physical/offline sales, consumer appliances/FMCG/telco distribution, and leading sales teams.


• Experience in launching new products in SEA, ideally with a focus on the Philippines.


• Experience building and hiring teams from scratch including front-line promoters/field sales.


• Experience in managing a P&L


• Strong stakeholder management skills across distribution partners, financing institutions, and local communities.


• Ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous environment


• Passionate about technology and the retail space and motivated by the challenge of moving consumers up the solar adoption curve through education and trust-building.


• The role will require in- market time in the Philippines.
