This can be made clearer by way of example. For the financial services platform, the resulting ecosystem has the following participants:

  • Financial institutions such as rural bank and non-bank financial institutions (coops, lenders, etc.)

  • Financial service providers that leverage the platform such as lenders and insurers
  • Technology providers that build solutions on top of the platform

Role Overview:

As a QA Tester will be responsible for validating the digital banking building meets bussiness and consumer expectations. He/ she will test features across mobile and web applications, ensuring functionality, usability and reliability. He/ She might also contribute to basic test automation efforts to improve efficiency and coverage.

What you will do:

  • Review requirements and design documents to create comprehensive test cases
  • Perform functional regression, smoke and exploratory testing on digital banking builds/ releases.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, UX designers to endure quality standards are upheld.
  • Raised detailed and reproducible defect reports, verify bug fixes.
  • Maintain and execute manual test cases
  • Contribute to building and executing basic automated test scripts is a plus.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Support UAT activities and documentation for regulatory/ compliance needs.

Qualifications

  • 2 + years of experience in QA Testing (Digital Banking or Fintech environment experience is a plus)
  • Good understanding of SDLC and STLC in Agile/ Scrum Environments
  • Strong knowledge of functional and regression testing methodologies
  • Experience with using Jira or Similar tools
  • Experience testing API using tools like Postman, and usage automation tools like BrowserStack is a bonus.
  • Understanding of banking products and digital user journeys is an advantage.
