Qualifications:

1. Licensed Engineer - Mechanical or Electrical

2. Above average computer skills

3. Above average communication skills

4. Experience working in a manufacturing industry is an advantage.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  1. STEAM AND AIR COMPRESSOR SYSTEM
    1. Operates and maintains 4 units of 400 BHP Boilers and its auxiliary equipment.
    2. Monitor boiler parameters such as steam pressure and temperature, water pressure and temperature, among others.
    3. Monitors usage of diesel fuel and refilling of day tank.
    4. Conducts regeneration of water softener.
    5. Conducts preventive maintenance of boiler unit and valves.
    6. Troubleshoots and repairs boiler units.
    7. Rectifies steam leaks.
    8. Operates and maintains 2 units of 150 hp Atlas Copco air compressors, 1 unit Ingersoll Rand air compressor and 2 units air dryers.
    9. Monitors air compressor parameters such as air pressure, oil pressure and oil temperature, among others,
    10. Troubleshoots and repairs problems encountered on screw type air compressors and air dryers.
    11. Conducts preventive maintenance of air compressors such as replacement of line filters, changing of compressor oil and replacement of oil filters, among others.
    12. Takes part in the overall preventive maintenance program of utilities equipment.
    13. Responds to any other works required by the Utilities Supervisor.
