Job Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for carrying out security programs and services to ensure protection of all resources within their assigned area.

General Responsibilities:
  • Formulates, recommends and maintains the framework, policies, guidelines, process and procedures for ICT asset and contract management aligned with corporate procurement policies.
  • Implements security programs / policies and procedures
  • Conducts investigation, gathers data/information/evidence, conduct intelligence/covert operations
  • Patrols and conducts inspection of properties and facilities
  • Conducts risk assessment and security survey inspection of facilities and properties
  • Implements access pass and work permits for contractors / third party
  • Represents the Company on police investigation and filing of cases in court
  • Investigates delicate and complicated cases involving damage or theft of company property
  • Conducts investigation of employees involved in suspected irregularities
  • Evaluates security plans, programs, policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of Criminology and a Registered Criminologist
  • Preferably with 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Any acquired security related training certificates may be considered as an advantage
  • Must be able to drive both two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles with corresponding driver's license
  • Competent in conducting a thorough investigation (surveillance operation, case build up and reinvestigation)
  • Competent in appraising/auditing performance of security service provider
  • Competent in oral and written communications
