ER/OPD Nurse on duty coordinates with admitting staff of the incoming admission. All admission must undergo. Triaging at ER by ER-NOD.
ER/OPD informs admission staff if there is a special endorsement regarding room type.
Receives order for admission from ER-NOD.
Admitting staff interviews the patient/relative in a cordial and welcoming manner.
Admitting staff will ask for patient's membership card and/or LOA/LOG.
Admitting staff will then ask the patient for (HMO and Industrial patients only) to go to the HMO officer for the referral slip that contains member's admission coverage.
Answers all patient's inquiries and gives necessary hospital information (services, policies, cost and mode of payment for incremental costs)
Offer room types, availability and room rates.
Assess patient's financial capability in a accordance with room of choice and admitting staff should obtain signature of financial agreement (for incremental costs).
Orient patient of the physical set-up regarding room of choice.
Assists patient/relative responsible person in filing up of admission forms and consent for admission.
Give the patient/relative enough time to read the patients' rights and responsibilities and hospital rules. Interpret/explain to them any issues and concerns they have.
Inform ER Nurse on duty if the patient/relative agreed for the admission procedures.
Call the Nurse station and inform them of the incoming admission and room of choice.
Encode patients data on the HIMS-Comlogik, so that the concern departments could render their patients.
If the patient is a Philhealth member, give them a copy of CF1 form and instruct them to go to the Philhealth officer for verification.
