- Health Services:
- Provide first aid and emergency medical treatment for injuries and illnesses occurring on-site.
Occupational Health & Safety:
- Monitor and help ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA or local equivalents).
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections in coordination with the safety officer.
- Participate in incident/accident investigations and assist in root cause analysis related to employee health issues.
- Maintain and manage the company clinic or infirmary and its supplies.
Health Monitoring & Education:
- Conduct routine health checks (e.g., blood pressure, weight monitoring, vision screening) as needed.
- Support pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical examinations.
- Implement health and wellness programs (e.g., vaccination drives, seminars, hygiene campaigns).
- Educate workers on disease prevention, ergonomics, and general health and wellness topics.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain updated medical and health records of employees.
- Prepare and submit health-related reports and documentation as required by HR and government agencies.
- Assist in managing employee health insurance and medical claims, if applicable.
- Track absences and monitor patterns related to sickness or injury.
Qualifications:Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Must be a licensed/registered nurse (RN) in the country/region of employment.
Certifications:
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Occupational Health and Safety training or certification is an advantage (e.g., BOSH or OHNAP for the Philippines).
Experience:
- Preferably with 1–3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Experience with occupational health, safety protocols, and workplace injury response is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong clinical and emergency response skills.
- Knowledge of occupational health standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, health record software).
- Assess employee health complaints and administer appropriate care or referrals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and incident reports in compliance with legal requirements.
- Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and emergency services when needed.
