Job Title: GIS Technician

Location: REMOTE

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Time zone

Overview

The GIS Technician is responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing spatial data to create digital maps and visualizations that support planning, engineering, and infrastructure projects. This role involves working with geographic information systems (GIS) tools to ensure spatial data accuracy and deliver actionable insights for decision-making

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, and maintain spatial data from field surveys, satellite imagery, and existing databases.
• Use GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS to create and update detailed maps illustrating features such as utility lines, roads, and telecommunications networks.
• Conduct geographic and spatial analyses to identify trends, patterns, and relationships in data.
• Develop visual reports, dashboards, and map-based presentations to support engineers, planners, and managers in informed decision-making.
• Map fiber optic networks, cell tower locations, and service areas.
• Ensure spatial data accuracy to support network expansion, maintenance, and planning.
• Assist in identifying optimal routes, avoiding conflicts, and improving service coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Expertise in ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Google Earth, Microsoft Excel
• Experience in telecommunications, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to spatial data accuracy.
• Proficient in map design and cartographic principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php45,000.00 per month
