Head Checker

The Head Checker is responsible for supervising and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all checkout and packing operations in the grocery. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth front-end operations by overseeing checkers, verifying transactions, monitoring cash handling, and ensuring that customer service standards are upheld. The Head Checker also assists in daily cashier reconciliations and coordinates with the Store Manager to ensure all procedures comply with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor all checkers during store operations.
• Ensure accuracy of transactions, pricing, and cash handling.
• Assist in balancing daily sales reports and cashier remittances.
• Oversee the smooth flow of checkout lanes to minimize customer waiting time.
• Train and guide new checkers to maintain service quality.
• Coordinate with the Store Manager regarding staff scheduling and performance.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor compliance with store policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

• At least a college level in any business or related course.
• With at least 1 years of experience as a Head Checker or similar supervisory role in retail or grocery operations.
• Knowledgeable in cashiering processes, POS systems, and transaction verification.
• Has leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Trustworthy, responsible, and willing to stay long-term.
• Preferably residing in or near Olongapo City or Zambales area.
