JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Construction Division Head assists in managing Construction Division operations.  Helps ensure that all operational and commercial aspects involved in the Construction Division are managed in line with the company's vision & mission and yearly strategic direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES;

A. TECHNICAL

  1. Sets strategic long-term and short-term Division goals and evaluates outcomes.
  2. Assists the Construction Division Head in effectively managing and leading the Construction Division to meet project contract agreements and, more importantly, the company's goals and objectives.
  3. Assists in risk assessment and control studies and directs implementation of actions.
  4. Assists in developing effective project controls.
  5. Research and reports on economic, legal, and other factors that may impact project success.
  6. Assists the Construction Division Head in directing effective project management of all projects.
  7. Assists the Construction Division Head in ensuring coordination for the timely acquisition of critical project resources.
  8. Effectively manages and leads the Planning Team to meet project contract agreements.
  9. Leads or actively participates in the periodic project meetings.
  10. Provides innovative input into operations about methods, resources, programs, estimates, risk identification, and restraint.
  11. Liaises with other divisions to organize phases of the construction development.
  12. Liaises with managers and engineers to discuss the project's progress and address any issues that may arise.
  13. Reviews KPM Progress Report and WARs.
  14. Attends the Management Review Meetings.

B. MANAGEMENT

  1. Forecasts budgetary requirements and manages the Division budget.
  2. Conducts training and seminars for continued skills improvement.
  3. Fosters a productive working environment.
  4. Ensures high levels of productivity are maintained.
  5. Ensures the highest levels of quality are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Engineering Graduate. Preferably with units on his/her way to a master's degree.
  2. At least forty (40) hours of training in Project Management, (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) Management System, and/or EHS Training.
  3. Preferably a licensed professional.
  4. With at least ten (10) years' work experience in EPC or facilities management companies, with at least three (3) years' experience in a managerial position.
  5. One (1) Full-Time position is available.
